JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist Position Reports To: Assistant Quality Assurance Manager FLSA Status: Hourly This is a full-time permanent position eligible for enrollment in company benefit plans after 60 days and 40 hours Vacation after 90 days Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm OPC is family owned and headquartered in the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States. Position Purpose Summary: Organizing, monitoring, improving, and providing technical support to the quality department. Principal Job Responsibilities Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders. Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies. Assist with internal and customer requests, reports and responses. Organize and maintain finished product specifications and assist with specification review. Participate in company compliance programs of the facility. Data entry and administration duties for the quality department. Assistance with ERP system development and maintenance. Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of documents and data entered. Identify and communicate quality issues to quality management. Maintain knowledge of company and customer requirements. Collaborate with Micro Coordinator to accomplish daily activities. Serves as a contact with 3rd party laboratories as needed. Other related duties as assigned from Quality Management. Education and Experience Degree or equivalent: High School Diploma Certification: (preferred) HACCP PCQI Experience: 6 months to 1 year similar or applicable to position applied for Preferred – 2+ years similar or applicable to position applied for Physical Demands of the Position While performing the duties of this position, the employee must possess manual dexterity required to frequently or for prolonged periods of time sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop and type; ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work Environment While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to general office conditions except when working in the actual production facility – where there is exposure to moving parts and vehicles; variable temperatures of both heat and cold; wet environment; loud environment.
