Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee and manage the quality processes within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with ISO standards, managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), leading internal audits, and following up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). The specialist will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous improvement and preventative maintenance of our custom-built conveyor systems.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and auditing processes; ISO auditor certification is a plus.
  • Experience with ECNs, NCRs, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and quality reporting.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance planning and implementation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software/tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and process documents.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset for process improvement.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Background in manufacturing custom machinery, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment.
  • Experience in conveyor systems or related industries.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies.

    Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Plan, execute, and document internal quality audits; coordinate external audits and certification processes.
  • Review and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to ensure product and process compliance.
  • Investigate and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventative actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, customer complaints, audit findings).
  • Support and oversee preventative maintenance programs to ensure production equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Procurement to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with company policies and ISO requirements.
  • Act as a key quality liaison with customers and suppliers when required.
