QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in food manufacturing QA, preferably in seafood or refrigerated environments
• Experience with SQF certification and audits is required
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FDA, and USDA regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA documentation systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

• Conduct routine inspections of production areas for compliance with food safety and quality standards
• Monitor and verify critical control points (CCPs) in accordance with HACCP plans
• Maintain and update documentation for SQF certification, including internal audits and corrective actions
• Train staff on GMPs, food safety protocols, and SQF program requirements
• Prepare for and participate in third-party, customer, and regulatory audits
• Maintain traceability records, sanitation logs, and product quality data
• Investigate customer complaints and quality incidents, ensuring proper resolution
• Assist with continuous improvement projects related to food safety and quality
