As our QA Supervisor, you will be the gatekeeper of information responsible for our document management system to ensure compliance with all regulatory, and internal and external audit requirements. You will have opportunities to develop your leadership and supervisory skills as you lead monthly Quality and Safety meetings while also will stepping in for the QA Manager when absent from the facility. Provide daily leadership and direction to the QA team HERE IS WHO YOU ARE… DRIVE & MOTIVATION * You are hard working and looking for career growth opportunities * You are an overachiever who strives for results and excellence with great follow-through * You enjoy working in a team and feel equally comfortable working independently * You thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing environment CHARACTER & ABILITIES * You are a multi-tasker who prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines * You are uber-organized with a keen eye for detail * You are an effective communicator who can easily get along and work with different personalities * You are reliable and trustworthy as you will be dealing with confidential financial and proprietary company information KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * You have a working knowledge of GFSI Schemes, HACCP, Organic, Kosher * You have exceptional organizational and time-management skills. * You have strong Microsoft 365 and other computer application skill EXPERIENCE * You have a Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry or other relevant discipline * You have 3 or more years working in a similar role NICE-TO-HAVE * You have experience working in a food manufacturing facility * You have HACCP certification * You have knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, Kanban) * You have worked in a unionized workplace THINGS YOU WILL DO… * Lead monthly Quality and Safety meetings * Oversee the document management process to ensure compliance with audit requirements * Assume QA Manager’s responsibilities when absent from facility * Generate SOP’s, forms, and documents as required for new products and processes * Participate in the implementation of new products * Prepare and execute audit schedule including all necessary actions for successful completion * Follow up on corrective action requests and nonconformities issue from internal and external audit within deadlines and issue an action plan to avoid recurrence. OTHER … * Sunday to Thursday, variable hours. * Flexible shifts including weekends may be required on occasion

Responsibilities

The QA Supervisor manages the document management system to ensure regulatory compliance and leads monthly Quality and Safety meetings. They are responsible for preparing the facility for audits and stepping in for the QA Manager when necessary.
