OVERVIEW

Provide quality assurance support to all ASI locations to ensure that product is built in accordance with customer and company quality requirements. Provide leadership and guidance to all areas in support of product quality with primary focus on mass production plant improvements. Responsible for core corporate maintenance and improvement of Calibration, Metals Lab, Supplier Development, Warranty Analysis and Mass Production Problem Resolution.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Ability to analyze data and plan improvement activities
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of the Toyota Production System
• Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes
• Display statistical/analytical reasoning
• Knowledge of materials and material science preferred (emphasis on Stainless Steel)
• PCDMIS/Polyworks experience preferred
• Quality certification a plus

• Communicates and interacts with all departments for products in all ASI locations. Strong communication and leadership required.
• Participate in performance planning and performance review of QA MP quality specialists
• Understand ASI Hoshin & measurable items. Responsible to oversee implementation from corporate QA level. Key focus area from Hoshin measurable is reduction in the frequency of internal/external issues in all production locations.
• Understand daily quality key performance indicators, and improvement status in all ASI plants. Review and provide feedback for all problem improvement activity. Develop method to promote information and yokoten between plants. Study all applicable mass production, field concern items, and carry forward to new projects through review and improvement of PFMEA and Control Plan.
• Develop and maintain each plant QC FMDS style lab report working with the plant QC Group and plant manager. Understand customer required inspections vs. actual situation and identify gap in method or manpower. Establish standard reports from inspection groups to be visualized within their own plants.
• Perform “Go and See” audit and study activity within ASI companies and ASI supplier base domestic and international. Support Supplier Development group in review of data and trends to determine the necessary activities to improve key performance indicators.
• Support the warranty evaluation and technical areas to determine the necessary activities to improve key performance indicators.
