Description

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quality Management (preferred)
Certifications are a plus:
· Certified Quality Auditor
· Certified Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:

· To provide QA and EH&S Support to a leading engineering company specialising in the manufacture of high-precision electromagnetic devices for the science and healthcare sectors.
· Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasis defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste to promote opportunities for improvement, product quality and customer satisfaction.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive implementation and maintenance of the QEH&S Management system to ISO 9001,13485 14001
· Support implementation and maintenance of the H&S Management system to ISO 45001 standard
· Tracking performance against QEH&S Targets
· Day to day involvement with colleagues of varying levels of seniority in many departments regarding all elements of the QEH&S management system including adverse events, audit non-conformities, change control & validation
· Verification/validation of CA’s
· Supporting the shopfloor with problem solving to resolve quality, environmental and H&S concerns
· Document control
· Processes KPIs, including SQA
· Lead internal auditing and host external audits
· Statistics & indicators of risk & opportunity
· Environmental/Sustainability Key responsibilities
· Responsible for external sustainability reports/surveys and ESG disclosures, including SECR, CDP
· Supporting internal Environmental Investigation for non-conformances
· Reporting environmental data, including water usage, gas and electricity consumption, GHG emissions, energy consumption, solar energy production, and waste management
· Support energy-saving initiatives, including assistance with ESOS Energy Compliance Audit.
· Conducting waste management audits to verify waste carriers’ compliance with environmental regulations, including permits, WTN, and license numbers.
· Ensure compliance with global product regulations, including RoHS, REACH, 3TG, POP, PFAS, CE, UKCEA, CA Prop 65, and TSCA.
