Are you experienced in a Quality Assurance role, with a Food Manufacturing background?
If so, you could be our perfect candidate!
We’re looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Team Leader due to continued growth and expansion with the company who are based in Burton on Trent. The ideal candidate will have previous Quality Assurance experience, be able to run a team for day-to-day operations, and ensure policies and procedures are being followed. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding company on a permanent basis.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing or similar environment
  • Previous experience supervising or coordinating shift-based teams (desirable)
  • Knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP, GMP, and BRC
  • HACCP Level 2 and Food Safety Level 3 (or willingness to obtain)
  • Effective communicator with good coaching, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities
  • Provide daily oversight, coaching, and coordination for Quality Assurance Technicians, ensuring routine checks and verifications are completed
  • Monitor task completion across all shifts to guarantee consistent coverage and high-quality output
  • Complete and oversee all shift-based Quality Assurance checks including foreign body audits, traceability exercises, label and document verification, weight control, and environmental monitoring
  • Ensure records are completed on time to promote a constant state of audit readiness
  • Support implementation of corrective actions and assist in pre-audit preparations with the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Lead onboarding and technical training for new Quality Assurance Technicians
  • Deliver ongoing training and provide real-time feedback to support skill development within the team
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Technical teams to resolve quality issues in real time
  • Champion a proactive food safety culture through daily engagement with the Quality Assurance team and operational colleagues
