Description

Since its formation in 1978, Moore Concrete Products Ltd has developed into a world class, quality focused, precast concrete manufacturer based outside Ballymena. The company is customer focus led, ensuring the continued evolution of our extensive product range, designed to meet the requirements of civil infrastructure, agriculture and building customers across the UK and Ireland.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient individual to join our Quality Assurance/Technical Team. This role involves conducting technical design reviews, providing analysis, support, and guidance to ensure accurate and efficient design development, procurement, and manufacture. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of and report progress to the Quality Assurance Coordinator, Technical Manager, or Quality Manager.
  • Review Client Requirements, including drawings and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with concrete industry standards.
  • Analyse and verify technical consistency in client requirements, identifying errors, contradictions, and omissions for prompt resolution.
  • Conduct in-house fabrication drawing checks to ensure compliance with client specifications, bar schedules, and industry standards.
  • Perform initial ‘take-offs’ for externally sourced components in precast concrete units and relay this information to the Purchasing team for supplier inquiries.
  • Maintain familiarity with all current contract drawings to prioritize checking and verification, liaising with technical/design colleagues, document controllers, and project managers as needed.
  • Provide guidance to Quality Assurance colleagues on critical details in Check Sheets and, when required, create these sheets independently.
  • Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) to maintain ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications.
