Description The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is an extremely important role in the OWS Foods organization. The QA Technician ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) SQF, and administers/maintains all vendor and product compliance procedures, maintaining quality assurance throughout the production process, which includes: analytical testing of materials and continuous improvement in the Quality Assurance department. The QA Tech collaborates with production employees daily to ensure quality systems and standards are followed throughout the facility. We currently have one shift available for the QA Tech opportunity: 2nd Shift - 10-Hour: 3:00 pm - 1:30 am - Monday thru Thursday. Friday/overtime will need to be worked as business needs arise. QA Tech Job Responsibilities include: Ensure quality and accuracy of all material and manufactured products meet the standards set by the Company and regulatory authorities Implement and maintain food safety, sanitation, inspection, quality, and GMP's for operations team, while maintaining records in various databases Participate in audits by third party inspectors and in the investigation of consumer complaints and customer returns, as necessary Inspect raw materials for proper specifications and release raw ingredients and finished goods after passing inspection Perform environmental swabs to measure microbiological conditions and other duties as assigned, such as internal auditing and cleaning verification. Requirements Minimum: 1+ years experience in creating and maintaining accurate records 2+ years computer experience in Microsoft application, such as Word, Excel, etc. Strong written and oral communication with all levels of the company, customers, and suppliers Preferred: 2+ years experience working in a food production plant 2+ years manufacturing experience in a QA/QC role Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and GMP's, CFR Title 21, the FDA's Food Safety Program and other government regulations OWS Foods offers full health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401K w/ company match, paid time off, paid holidays, and bonus incentive opportunities.
