Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a QA Technician to work from our manufacturing facility located in Goodyear, AZ.  This position works on 3rd shift, Monday thru Friday, 11PM - 7AM.     The Quality Assurance Technician will support the production efforts through auditing, monitoring and testing raw materials and finished products. In addition to the direct responsibilities, the Quality Assurance Technician will support maintaining all Sanitation Operating Procedures, GMP’s, Food Safety and a safe environment throughout our productive process.   General Position Responsibilities: * Routine Quality Assurance Testing; Product Sample Collection; Physical property testing, etc. * Logging test results in an Excel spread sheet, RedZone or other computer-based format. * Assist in sampling and documenting. * Must be able to adhere to a specific frequency of product testing.  This test schedule can vary pending specific quality issues that may arise. * Performs test for acceptance of raw materials and finished products. * Audits Sanitation Operating procedures * Audits Food Safety inspection * Support Research and Development with special testing and sample collection. * Reports any unusual event, circumstances or condition that reflects an obvious defect of raw materials or process deficiencies in our process * Assist in personnel training in all quality functions * Maintains open communication and collaboration with all Production personnel to meet all quality specifications and process parameters Requirements:  * 1-2 years experience in quality department or quality functions. * Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. * Good working knowledge of basic mathematics and statistics. * Must be safety conscious and accurate in working in lab environment during the preparation of chemical solutions and test samples. * Mechanical aptitude/knowledge helpful. * Good organizational and communication skills required; must be able to work with all levels of associates. * Basic computer skills helpful for inputting and summarizing quality control data.  * Bilingual desired:  English/Spanish
