OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Orexis. The Quality Assurance Technician will play a crucial role in monitoring and maintaining the quality and safety of food products manufactured on site.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, finished goods and dispatch area to assess compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. To correctly carry out site start up, line changeover and end of the shift technical verification checks and analysis.
  • Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to address quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and optimize processes to meet quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs to identify and control potential hazards in the food production process.
  • Investigate and document instances of non-conformance or deviations from quality standards. Develop corrective and preventive action plans to address identified issues.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all staff are trained and competency assessed by means of induction, procedure training, routine refresher training and briefings on corrective actions. Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality control tests, inspections, and findings. Ensure all documentation/reports produced while carrying out duties are accurate, legible, timely and neatly presented (readable). Correct filing and storage of daily paperwork for due diligence.
  • Ensure accurate routine collection of samples as per schedules (RM, finished products, Hand swabs, Environmental, Water etc) and NPD laboratory sample collection and submission of these sample in laboratory portal.
  • To carry out daily taste panel and provide feedback on the summary of findings to the wider team
  • To collect and maintain the retention samples correctly to aid in the investigation
