QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED, with additional education in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related field preferred. While prior experience is not required, familiarity with food safety principles such as HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation practices is beneficial. Successful candidates should possess basic math and computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures. The position may require standing for extended periods, working in cold or wet environments, lifting moderate weights, and being available for flexible shifts, including nights and weekends. On-the-job training is typically provided to support success in the role.
JOB PURPOSE
To ensure that all food products meet established safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role involves monitoring and testing raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to verify compliance with company specifications and industry regulations such as HACCP, GMPs, FDA, and USDA guidelines. The QA Technician is responsible for identifying and documenting any deviations, supporting corrective actions, and maintaining accurate records for traceability and audits. By actively monitoring production processes and collaborating with operations staff, the technician plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, preventing contamination, and ensuring that only high-quality, safe products reach consumers.
