QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
· A Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related discipline
· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required
· Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
· Ability to adapt to changing operational needs
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility is an asset
JOB SUMMARY
To ensure the safety and quality of Olymel products by performing microbiological and physical testing on all finished products produced as required by customer. Additionally, to provide verification of the work of QC Inspectors and identify potential areas which may adversely affect product quality or safety.

Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND TASKS
· Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
· Ensure that all work is performed according to pertinent GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA and all established regulations
Daily tasks include:
· Prepare daily quality reports
· Perform in-op GMP inspection and issue work orders if deviation is observed
· Onsite verification of effectiveness of CCP and Quality Standards
· Verification of receiving reports and quality control reports generated from Infinity data collection system
· Perform in-op inspection and issue work orders if deviation is observed
· Perform calibration of thermometer and temperature checks
· Onsite verification of effectiveness of Process Control and Quality Standards
· Coordinate sample collection for chemical and or micro analysis on products as required by customers or based on regulation
· Prepare and perform micro analysis on finished product as required by customer
· Micro release for the finished products after the micro analysis
· Track all hold products and issue daily hold report
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
WEEKLY TASKS INCLUDE:
· Perform RODAC tests to verify the cleanliness of equipment after sanitation and issue and report on these results
· Prepare documents and samples to send to an outside lab for testing
MONTHLY TASKS INCLUDE:
· Onsite verification of receiving practices
· Calibrate and maintain equipment used in the lab
· Order lab supply and maintain inventory
· Issue reports for customers with results of testing as required
· Issue reports for non-conformance raw materials received
· Preparation of media for the micro analysis as needed
· Ensure that quality data for customer is presented in an accurate and timely basis
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: $55,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
