JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position involves conducting quality inspections, performing audits, and utilizing various precision measuring instruments to maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • 1-year experience in quality techniques or production.
  • Must be Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Must be detail oriented and possess analytical skills.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and understand policies and guidelines, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred with GFSI (SQF), FSMA, HACCP, and GMP’s related to food safety desired or ability to complete training.
  • Food manufacturing experience desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality testing, analysis, and reviews to ensure production meets established standards.
  • Train and support production staff on quality systems to maximize product safety and quality.
  • Maintain SQF training, recordkeeping, and quality practices.
  • Monitor production lines for compliance with grade, label accuracy, and customer specifications.
  • Verify and calibrate equipment such as thermometers and metal detectors.
  • Conduct daily pre-operational, operational, and post-operational equipment inspections.
  • Document GMP violations, implement corrective actions, and perform periodic site security checks.
  • Support new hire orientations and ongoing quality training.
  • Perform environmental monitoring and temperature checks in coolers and production rooms.
  • Verify production documentation and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Always work safely, professionally, and in compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
