Description Specialty Metals Corporation has a career opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician on our day shift. The individual should be quality conscious, self-motivated, have a strong work ethic and be a team player. Pay Range $20.00 - $35.00 per hour. Why should you apply? Competitive pay Great work-life balance & family culture Company paid employee medical/dental/vision benefits 401(k) with company match Vacation – 1 week after 6 months, 1 week at a year, 2 weeks after 2 and 3 years, 3 weeks for years 4-9 and 4 weeks for 10+ years Sick leave – 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked 7 paid holidays PRIMARY JOB DUTIES Dimensional Inspections of production parts Assist in handling and managing nonconforming product Assist in training of Quality System Procedures Inspect incoming materials per the purchase order requirements Ensure that all incoming materials are clearly identified Enter receipt data into the software system Ensure quality procedures are used correctly, so that products adhere to requirements Assist in the maintenance of the Calibration System Brief the Quality Manager on supplier related issues Assist in the maintenance of the Approved Supplier System Assist in offloading incoming materials Requirements Understanding of inventory, manufacturing, shipping, and receiving processes Experience working within a warehouse production team Drive for quality assurance and continuous improvement Analytical and research driven (identify issues, research solutions, make decisions) Professional, detail-oriented, and organized Experience using MS Word and Excel Experience using Precision Measuring Equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, etc.) Experience working with Drawings and Formal Design Criteria Experience operating forklifts Our Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity Company.
