The Role: Quality Assurance Technician

This role is based within our head office in Speke and has the following main responsibilities:-

  • Positively releasing product from the production line, including organoleptic assessment of finished product and compare against gold standards
  • Carry out quality control checks (e.g. CCP, label verification, weights, shift documentation) to ensure compliance.
  • Carry out internal audits as per schedule (e.g. glass, GMP, traceability, QMS)
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and product sampling and ensure results are reported accurately
  • Supporting investigations for customer complaints and internal non-conformances
  • Raise non-conformances for shift based issues and where necessary place product on hold
  • Complete shift based reports to ensure information is handed over to teammates accurately

The successful candidate needs to have a good understanding of food manufacturing and hygiene regulations

Non-Negotiables

  • Basic food safety and HACCP certification
  • Clear and proven experience in QA / QC
  • Highly organised and excellent verbal and written skills

  • Ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise, meet deadline and manage changing priorities

  • Desirables
    An understanding of / experience in FMCG Food and/or Sports Nutrition
    Experience of working in an E-Commerce vertically integrated business/or Food Manufacturing
    Internal auditor training
