Our plant manufactures the high strength engineered wood product Timberstrand® in a 24/7 operations, non-union, manufacturing environment. We are accepting applications for Quality Assurance Technician. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet rigorous quality standards. You will support the QA department by conducting product testing, analyzing process data, and collaborating with operations to resolve quality issues.
The base hourly rate is: $39.29/hr

Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., Wood Science, Forestry, Engineering, or related technical discipline) is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and statistical software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and business needs
Responsibilities
  • Consistently use safe work practices in all aspects of your work and encourage others to do the same.
  • Conduct in-process and finished product quality testing.
  • Maintain QA databases with accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns.
  • Support the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Assist in training and mentoring new QA team members.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects.
