SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years testing experience
  • 3+ years of quality assurance testing leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • Excellent knowledge of QA methodologies and tooling
  • Clear and effective communication skills providing positive and coaching feedback to team members
  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
  • Attitude and aptitude to be successful in a growing company
  • Supervisory experience is required
  • Experience with defect-tracking tools
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • A critical thinker who brings a passion and love for high-quality software
  • Technically strong yet functionally inclined to understand the technical without forgetting the user perspective
  • Extensive experience creating/organizing test plans and staying on top of important issues
  • Proactive when you discover a problem and effectively drive resolution as needed
  • Comfortable in a team setting working with clients, management, and internal resources in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Technical bugs missed by Development and can thoughtfully work towards a solution
  • Learner who enjoys keeping up to date on the product and your field

Responsibilities
  • Manage the defect load
  • Leads on client projects which may include supervising others work on client teams– influences decision making
  • Know/understand MedCompass well, this is a hands-on testing position
  • Understand any workflows associated with a client’s needs
  • Know how to test business rules and understand how they work, how the impact workflows and how they are configured
  • Work directly with product QA team on defects that appear to be product-related (i.e., follow process for notifying product team)
  • Work directly with config team on defects that appear to be config-related (i.e., follow process for notifying config team)
  • Work with QA Management to determine best strategy to communicate with Infrastructure for builds and other environment-related needs
  • Work directly with the Client Delivery leads and project team members (daily meeting) on new and outstanding defects and communicate them where necessary
  • Participate (and be prepared to take the lead) in any other appropriate client defect meetings
  • Meet with QA Manager on regular basis to review projects, talk about issues and relay the strengths/weaknesses of players on a client project testing team
  • Provide a weekly report of progress, defects, etc., as determined by the project
  • Work with management to substitute QA resources where the business requires
  • Lead internal defect meetings for QA client project team
  • Be proactive in getting work done as you wait for builds, etc.
  • Participate in meetings related to requirements – QA should be involved earlier and more frequently
  • Participate in any appropriate Agile meetings (either internal or external)
  • Work directly with AssureCare Support team, as needed
  • Shield QA client project team from any unnecessary meetings or requests
  • Identify and coach high performers when leading a client project team. Relay observations to QA Manager
  • Attend and regularly share best practices and lessons learned on cross-functional client project meetings
  • Provide professional, but candid, feedback on AssureCare approach and when it is not work, be solution-oriented
