VACANCY: QUALITY AUDITOR

Reporting to: Technical Manager
At Booja-Booja, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Auditor to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining our high standards of product quality, safety, and hygiene across our production processes. You will work closely with our internal teams to ensure our truffles and ice creams meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Auditing:

  • Conduct organoleptic (sensory) assessments of all truffle and ice cream mixes to ensure top-quality taste and texture.
  • Audit production quality checks and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Carry out Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hygiene Audits to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met across the factory.

Calibration & Monitoring:

  • Perform regular calibration and monitoring of measuring equipment (e.g., probes, thermometers) to ensure accurate production processes.

Internal Auditing:

  • Participate in systems audits as part of the internal auditing team to review and improve existing processes.

Ingredient & Packing Assessment:

  • Conduct quality assessments on incoming ingredients and packaging materials to ensure they meet specifications.

Sampling & Testing:

  • Collect product samples, swab surfaces, and send samples for external testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage reference sample storage and facilitate finished product testing.

Training & Competence Review:

  • Conduct training and competence reviews for key process steps critical to food safety, ensuring all team members are up to date on best practices.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and quality control practices (GMP, HACCP, etc.).
  • Experience in conducting audits or quality assessments in a food production environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with calibration and monitoring equipment is preferred.
