Summary
Delta Star Inc. is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Auditor to support quality assurance processes during all phases of power and mobile transformer manufacturing. What You’ll Do
As a Quality Auditor, you’ll conduct inspections and tests throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards. You’ll play a pivotal role in identifying systemic issues, analyzing data, and contributing to product and process improvement initiatives.
A Day in the Life
As a Quality Auditor, you’ll inspect in-process and finished products, verify compliance with specifications, and document your findings. You’ll use measurement tools to confirm product quality, communicate adjustments to production supervisors, and maintain inspection records. Additionally, you’ll support a safe work environment by adhering to standards and participate in ongoing education to stay updated on quality control techniques.

Specific Duties

  • Inspect in-process manufacturing and finished products to confirm compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct visual and measurement tests, documenting inspection results and communicating necessary adjustments.
  • Approve or reject finished products, ensuring rework is completed as required.
  • Use and maintain measurement equipment, following calibration and operating instructions.
  • Identify and document non-conforming products or processes and collaborate on corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and input data into quality databases as needed.
  • Support product and process improvement initiatives by analyzing data and contributing to action plans.
  • Promote a safe work environment by following standards and regulations.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a quality-focused professional with strong technical skills and experience in manufacturing environments.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a QA/QC Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to quality control techniques and processes.
  • Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, gauges, calipers, and other instruments.

Must live or be willing to relocate to within a reasonable safe commute to the assigned plant location. Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer for U.S. based positions.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to read blueprints and complex technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical measurement tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to improve product quality and efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in power transformer manufacturing is a plus!
