This role performs inspections, measurements, testing, and documentation to ensure products meet customer specifications, internal standards, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Auditor may also assist the Sorting Department to ensure that all products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform routine in-process inspections of parts at stamping presses using appropriate gages (e.g., calipers, micrometers, pin gages, attribute gaging, etc.). Verify parts meet dimensional and visual standards per control plans and quality alerts. Document inspection results accurately and communicate non-conformances to production and quality leadership. Support the Sort Department in identifying and segregating non-conforming product. Participate in containment activities and assist with re-inspection and rework tasks when necessary. Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and traceability of sorted materials. Maintain clean and organized inspection and sorting work areas. Collaborate with press operators, quality Auditors, and supervisors to promote a culture of quality. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance. Assumes additional duties as assigned, which may fall outside the primary scope of the role. Minimum Requirements: · High school diploma or GED required. · 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or metal stamping environment preferred. · Familiarity with basic measurement tools and gages. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part drawings a plus. · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. · Able to work independently and within a team. · Basic computer and data entry skills.
