BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 6 years of work experience in Construction management
  • Proven experience managing schedules and quality across large infrastructure or capital projects
  • Strong understanding of construction trades, sequencing, and building systems MEP
  • High School Diploma or GED

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background from IX Infrastructure, Capital Projects, or IX Manufacturing teams
  • Certifications such as CxA Certified Commissioning Authority , LEED, or QA QC auditor credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Quality & Commissioning Manager will support complex data center and capital project environments.
  • Act as a key liaison between the Owner and General Contractor, ensuring that construction, quality, and commissioning milestones are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Be well-rounded — someone who understands both the construction life cycle and commissioning processes, with strong communication skills to represent the Owner’s interests in high-stakes meetings.
  • Experience in data center builds, manufacturing, or infrastructure/capital projects is highly preferred.
  • Represent the Owner in construction quality and commissioning meetings with General Contractors and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor and enforce construction quality standards across all stages of the project life cycle.
  • Oversee construction schedules, flag delays or risks, and drive corrective actions with project teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Field Engineers, and QA/QC teams to validate all inspection and commissioning processes.
  • Serve as the point of contact during transition from construction to commissioning, ensuring alignment with design specs and operational readiness.
  • Support the development and implementation of Quality Management Plans (QMPs) and Commissioning Plans.
  • Conduct or coordinate site inspections, punch list walkthroughs, and sign-off processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Provide technical input and status updates to internal stakeholders and client leadership.
  • Ensure all documentation, inspections, and reports comply with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Comfortable operating as an Owner’s Rep, engaging with contractors, suppliers, and engineering firms.
  • Ability to speak credibly in meetings with clients, contractors, and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in data centers, industrial manufacturing, or capital infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and building management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of tools like Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
