Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are growing and are seeking experienced Quality Control Chemists in our Windsor, Nova Scotia facility. You will be responsible to conduct testing on a wide range of chemical compounds and consumable items, using a variety of instrumental and wet chemical analysis methods. You will perform all laboratory activities in a manner compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines and the internal quality system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing analyses using instrumentation techniques such as TLC, HPLC,GC.UV-Vis, and NMR.
  • Performing analyses using bench chemical techniques such as TLC, titrimetry, and gravimetry.
  • Maintaining accurate, real-time records of all laboratory activities.
  • Completing paperwork for release of materials including status labels and certificates of analysis.
  • Performing routine maintenance and/or calibration of analytical instruments and documenting these activities.
  • Supporting Process lifecycle by reviewing and approving creation and changes to documents.
  • Mentoring and training others with similar job duties as requested.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Post secondary diploma with a Bachelor in Science preferred.
  • Technical proficiency with laboratory instrumentation such as GC, HPLC, UV-VIS.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Knowledge of cGMP guidelines considered an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
