Description

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Join our team as a Quality Specialist, where you’ll take on a dynamic, dual-role position combining Quality Control Chemist (80%) and Quality Engineer (20%) responsibilities. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead testing, analysis, and problem-solving efforts to support our Operations, Technical, and Sales teams. Guided by the Site Quality Manager, you’ll drive compliance with Henkel’s high standards, ensure customer satisfaction, and contribute to key projects—all while operating with independence, reliability, and integrity. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple functions in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine testing of production batches, customer samples, and effluent treatment plant (ETP) samples, ensuring timely, accurate results and compliance with internal standards and environmental regulations.
  • Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, unusual batches, and First Time Right (FTR) improvements, collaborating closely with Product Development (PD) and Technical teams to drive process enhancements.
  • Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and functionality of laboratory equipment; prepare reagents and stock solutions; manage the chemical store and retain sample program with ongoing documentation and register reviews.
  • Prepare and manage laboratory documentation, including manuals, test methods, training records, and reports; issue Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificates of Conformance (COC) for outgoing products.
  • Coordinate the procurement of laboratory consumables and external contractor services for testing, equipment calibration, and maintenance, ensuring continuous lab operation.
  • Support Statistical Quality Control (SQC) activities, chair monthly Statistical Process Control (SPC) meetings, and participate in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Management of Change (MOC), and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, including the preparation of PPAP documentation.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints through the Customer Complaint Management System (CCMS) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA); manage Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) through to closure.
  • Actively support internal audits, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and 5S workplace organization practices; contribute to the rollout of quality programs and initiatives led by the Quality Manager and Product Development Integration (PDI) teams.
