Description Tillman FiberCo is building a 100% fiber network to support the next generation of broadband services. Tillman FiberCo is a portfolio company of Tillman Global Holdings, a holding company focused on building premier digital infrastructure businesses globally. We are looking to hire an OSP Compliance Inspector to support Sarasota County. Work Schedule: Full-time, non-exempt position with a standard daytime weekday schedule (salaried with overtime eligibility). Candidates must be flexible with start/end times and available for overtime, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation as required by construction schedules, weather conditions, and emergency response needs. Responsibilities: Perform daily quality control inspections on aerial and underground FTTH construction (new builds, overlays, span/drop replacements, MDUs, etc.) in accordance with Tillman FiberCo Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) standards. Verify construction matches approved design prints, splicing matrices, easement boundaries, depth requirements, and sequential build practices. Conduct pre-construction ride-outs to identify and resolve potential obstacles (cabinet placement, tree trimming, pole readiness, bore paths, etc.). Ensure constant compliance with OSHA, NEC, NESC, NCTA, FCC, and local regulations; verify proper PPE, traffic control (MOT), and safe work practices. Meet in the field with city, county, DOT, and utility inspectors; serve as Tillman FiberCo’s on-site representative. Respond to and resolve homeowner concerns, explain construction process, and ensure property restoration meets or exceeds company standards. Document all work with clear photos/videos, complete QC forms, update as-builts, and issue corrective work orders for any deviations. Perform emergency locates and respond to damage reports (including after-hours when on-call). Operate basic test equipment (OTDR, power meter, etc.) to confirm optical levels and splice quality when required. Communicate daily with Project Managers, Construction Supervisors, and contractors regarding progress, issues, and safety concerns. Maintain accurate, timely records and escalate critical items immediately. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements What we are looking for: Five (5) years of hands-on experience in telecommunications OSP construction, maintenance, or inspection (FTTH strongly preferred). Proficient with Microsoft Office and mobile documentation apps. Strong working knowledge of NEC, NESC, OSHA, and industry best practices for fiber optic plant. Ability to read and interpret fiber design prints, splicing matrices, system maps, and permit drawings. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (company vehicle provided). Comfortable using basic fiber test equipment (power meters, VFL, OTDR experience a plus). Excellent communication skills — must be able to interact professionally with contractors, homeowners, municipal officials, and internal teams. Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review. Physical Demands: Standing/walking 50-80% of the day on uneven terrain and construction sites. Frequent driving (day and night) to various sites Work outdoors in all weather conditions. Occasionally lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching. Responsibilities
