QUALITY CONTROL/ FINAL TEST TECHNICIAN (UHP) – JOB DESCRIPTION

We currently have an opening for a Quality Control/ Final Test (QC/ FT) Technician, for our Ultra High Purity (UHP) division. This individual is responsible for supporting the manufacturing of our laser-based gas analyzers. This position is based in Horsham, PA, reporting to the Quality Control/ Final Test Lead Technician and will configure settings of our analyzers, perform a variety of quality control tests and analyzes data to assess the performance of the analyzers against specifications, finalize settings and prepare the certificates of calibration.
This is a Production department position that will collaborate with Manufacturing, RD&E, and the Service department
This role plays a critical part in driving our vision to partner with our customers to become their preferred process analytical solutions provider.

QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science.
  • Proficient experience and use of computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to use common lab equipment, such as: Oscilloscope, Power Meter, Vacuum Pump, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of optics and electronics equipment.
  • Must have excellent record keeping skills with an attention to details.
  • Ability to perform routine work in a fast-paced, team environment under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously with little or no direction; self-managed.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and have initiative to follow through on commitments with team and management.
Responsibilities
  • Perform tests to inspect component parts as needed and assist scientists and engineers in troubleshooting unit performance.
  • Assess functionality and performance of gas analyzers under standard operating conditions.
  • Set up and maintain high-pressure gas delivery lines, as well as vacuum pumps utilized in testing.
  • Collect and analyze data and interpret results; maintain QC testing logs and required documentation.
  • Prepare technical reports, customer certificates, and QC data for unit records.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned and other Production related tasks.
