JOB DESCRIPTION –

  • POSITION SUMMARY: The Inspector is responsible for all inspections performed to ensure compliance to approved data, Federal Aviation Regulations, the RSQCM, and/or data acceptable to the administrator. This is an experienced-level position with no supervisory responsibilities that reports to the Chief Inspector.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION

  • Airframe and Powerplant License
  • 5+ years of QC Inspection Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Tenure and longevity is paramount to Aspire. They need to see secure tenure to really consider the candidate. If a person has had countless jobs that only last a few months these are folks that will get declined. If this is on the resume, or jobs like this please add some color as to why the short stint? reasons surrounding. Tenure is huge!!!
  • Not looking for component back shop type experience these folks will be declined. Must have aircraft experience on commercial aircraft
  • Physical demands, Inspectors will be going up and down ladders going into multiple aircraft frequently in a qtr mile long facility. Lot of time on their feet, must have the physical dexterity to handle this type of load standing, walking, going up and down ladders to get into and out of aircraft.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures that no defective, unserviceable or un-airworthy parts are used on any components or articles
  • Ensures all fabricated parts are labeled and identified properly.
  • Inspects work performed to ensure compliance.
  • Performs receiving inspection functions as authorized and prescribed in the Quality Manual.
  • Accomplishes all necessary inspections of articles maintained by the repair station to ensure overall quality of workmanship and material used in the fabrication process.
  • Notifies the Quality Control Supervisory Personnel in a timely manner of any quality concerns and items related to airworthiness that are not resolved through the normal course of the day; These items may be communicated by email, voice mail or documented in the Shift Turnover Log (PD-Form-3). Quality Control Inspectors will ensure that quality concerns and items related to airworthiness are addressed and tracked until resolution.
  • Coordinates with the Inspection Supervisory Personnel to determine daily priorities of required inspection items.
  • Demonstrates a thorough familiarity with all applicable FARs, company, and customer manuals applicable to their work assignments.
  • Demonstrates a thorough familiarity with all necessary tooling, inspection aids and techniques to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Ensures all maintenance and alterations that are performed by the repair station are in compliance to the applicable technical data.
  • Ensure the Shift Turnover Report (PD-Form-3) clearly communicates any pertinent information and maintain communication and continuity from shift to shift. Ensures that the turnovers are completed post shift (all Shifts) and filed daily.
