QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR - MANCHESTER

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team and contribute to a range of exciting projects across Manchester and surrounding areas. These include new build residential, retrofit, and external wall remediation schemes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with renders, brickwork, facades, exterior inspections, and recladding of Higher Risk Buildings
  • Understanding of design principles
  • Familiarity with the Building Safety Act is desirable
  • Proficiency in using modern technology, including tablets and Fieldview software
  • Full driving licence and access to a car is ideal

Responsibilities

ROLE TYPE

  • Full-time, predominantly site-based
  • Projects are mainly Manchester-based, with occasional travel to other site locations as and when required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct weekly inspections of ongoing works, including subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications
  • Identify and report issues with workmanship or materials to the Project Manager and Principal Contractor
  • Maintain detailed site diaries, noting progress, delays, site visitors, weather conditions, and any incidents
  • Use tools like Fieldview to manage tasks, submit reports, and track progress
  • Provide practical advice to keep the building contract on track
  • Address queries related to drawings and specifications, ensuring coordination and clarity
  • Attend project sites and deliver services in line with building contract requirements
