Description Job Summary: Quality Inspector shall be able to maintain organization and work in a fast-paced environment while being able to focus on multiple projects. Responsible for parts testing, measuring, problem identification, and communication between different departments. Shift is spent working in the quality office and on the manufacturing floor where standing is needed. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required. Essential Job Functions: Ability to read and interpret drawings and/or specifications Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing methods (GD&T) Basic knowledge of inspection measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gages, pin & ring gages) Conduct dimensional inspections of incoming material (supplier & customer), cable assemblies & machined components Document and start first piece inspections based on internal & customer drawings Review internal documents for accuracy (part finishing sheets, purchase requisitions & purchase orders) Demonstrate good manufacturing procedures (GMP) for quality and company standards Gather information on non-conforming material or assemblies and identify root cause of problems Finalize and close out any internal jobs with documentation package Maintain good verbal and written communication requirements between all departments and employees Maintain quality records in a completed and correct manner Requirements Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of working within a quality department Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs. Must be willing to communicate with vendors and suppliers Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 Knowledge of SPC and calibration is a plus Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
