We are currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our growing production team.

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all window covering products—draperies, Natural Woven Shades (NWS), folding shades, and Rollstar shades—meet established quality standards, production tolerances, and customer specifications. This role requires deep knowledge of production processes and quality benchmarks for each product line. The QC Inspector works closely with production teams and cross-functional departments to identify, report, and resolve quality-related issues, ensuring continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of QC experience in manufacturing or textile production (window coverings preferred).
  • Strong understanding of custom window treatment construction, including drapery, NWS, folding and roller shades.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, design specs, and measuring tolerances.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple inspection priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and moving fabric rolls (up to 25 lbs.).
  • Manual dexterity and keen eyesight for precise work.

Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of drapery, NWS, folding shade, and Rollstar products using production tickets, measuring tape, light boxes, and other standard inspection tools.
  • Verify that products meet all size tolerances, construction standards, material specifications, and visual quality requirements.
  • Ensure proper alignment, stitching, pleating, folds, hardware attachment, operating mechanisms, and finish appearance.
  • Be fully familiar with production processes, workflow, and quality standards for each product category.
  • Ensure all work aligns with company tolerances, industry best practices, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Confirm that all QC procedures are strictly followed throughout the production floor.
  • Maintain accurate QC records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action requests.
  • Regularly report to management about quality problems identified, root causes, actions taken, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Track recurring issues to provide data-driven insights for long-term improvements.
  • Collaborate with production, sales, product design, and engineering teams to determine root causes of defects or inconsistencies.
  • Suggest and help implement changes to processes, standards, or testing procedures that will improve product quality, production efficiency, or employee safety.
