Description

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires expertise in various quality management systems and practices, including As9100. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for conducting incoming inspections, in process inspections, and final assembly inspections performing audits, and utilizing precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

SKILLS

  • Technical document interpretation: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Measurement proficiency: Skilled in using precision measurement instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Electrical testing: Competence in using electrical tools like multimeters to perform basic electrical tests and troubleshoot components.
  • Industry standards: Knowledge of industry standards for electronics manufacturing, such as IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) and IPC-J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies).
  • Computer skills: Familiarity with basic office software (Microsoft Word, Excel) and experience using Quality Management Systems (QMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for data entry and reporting.
  • Electronic component knowledge: Ability to identify electronic components and understand coatings and other workmanship requirements.
  • Inspection equipment: Experience with specialized inspection tools, which can include microscopes, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems, etc

Responsibilities
  • Inspections: Perform visual, mechanical, and functional inspections on raw materials, sub-assemblies, and final products.
  • Standards and specifications: Verify products against engineering drawings, technical specifications, and purchase order requirements.
  • Testing: Conduct electrical tests (continuity, voltage, resistance) and mechanical tests (dimensional checks, functionality).
  • Non-conformance management: Identify and document defects or issues through detailed inspection reports. Segregate non-conforming items and communicate findings to engineering and production teams.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and corrective actions for traceability and audits.
