Learn more about OCL here: www.oclgroup.ca The Role We are currently recruiting for qualified and experienced Quality Control Level 2 Inspectors to join our team at Kearl Oil Sands, a major oil sands site in Northern Alberta. The successful candidates will work in a safety-first environment on a 14/14 rotation. Camp accommodations and meals provided. Charter flights provided from designated hubs in Edmonton and Calgary with flight allowances based on the province located. Compensation/Benefits Competitive hourly rate, negotiable, based on experience Weekly Pay Eligible for annual bonus based on company performance 100% employer-paid drugs, travel, life & dependent life insurance, and AD&D Long-term disability $7000 flex credit account per year (can roll into and health care spending account and/or RRSP) Paid vacation Cell phone allowance or company-provided cell phone Company provided IT assets Job Duties/Responsibilities Support implementation of multi-discipline ITPs Quality oversight of civil, structural, mechanical & piping disciplines Validation of work associated with the multi-discipline Construction Work Packages Preparation of Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) Reviewing of Subcontractors quality documentation and provide approval Material receiving inspection and verification Maintaining welder qualification record Monitoring welding and carrying out final weld visual inspection Coordinate, monitor and review NDT and reporting Verifying all NDT completion releasing the piping for hydro test Final piping reinstatement inspection and witnessing applicable bolt torque Experience with weld mapping, redlines and as-built drawings Generate and maintain quality logs, and RFC/RFI inquiries Hydrotest package review and test witnessing Prepare inspection walkdown notification and close out punchlist items. Turnover binder progressive development, review and completion Client, vendor, and company quality interfacing, reporting and maintaining relationships Skills/Education/Qualifications CWB Level 2 certification with 5+ years of experience Strong time management skills and ability to handle a multitude of concurrent tasks Excellent Microsoft Office and Google Docs, Bluebeam Revu and cloud storage data bases Self-motivated, organized and able to work in a high-pressure deadline driven environment Understands Quality Inspection Procedures, Tools and Equipment Must be able to climb scaffolding, access trenches and work in variable weather conditions Knowledge of ASME, ABSA, and CSA codes and client standards structure Strong knowledge of industrial piping materials; carbon, stainless steel, duplex stainless, alloy and lined piping Experience working in a live plant environment Brown/Green field experience Civil, structural, mechanical & piping experience Ability to work independently Must be willing to complete a criminal background check Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test Must be legally eligible to work in Canada OCL Group Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
