Currently, we are looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our Night shift at our Edmonton location (7321 68 Ave NW)!

JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for Final and Receiving Inspection of manufactured parts and components and for the release of manufactured parts. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for dimensional inspection and calibrated instruments and test equipment. This position is directly responsible for adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental controls related to the Quality Control area and manufacturing area. This position is responsible for reviewing Traveler Documents for Quality and Customer requirements. The incumbent is also responsible for the adhering to all company Policies and Procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years Quality Management System exposure, training and or Education
  • 2+ years of experience as QC Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and exposure to API Thread Inspection Techniques.
  • Practical Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gage, Thread Gages etc.
  • Solid understanding of technical specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • CMM inspection experience is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Reviewing Traveler Documents for Quality System and Customer requirements.
  • Final Inspection and documentation of measurements for manufactured parts.
  • Receiving inspection for third party operations and documentation.
  • Measure parts with calibrated instruments and maintain calibrated equipment during use.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Audits and Tool Box Meetings.
  • Generate and Issue Non-Conformance Reports; ensure proper disposition prior to release.
  • Complete job forms as required by our quality program including QC sheets, tool tracking forms, etc.
  • Calibrate internal measuring equipment and maintain calibration software traceability as per company procedures.
  • Complete compliance and enforcement of all Quality System Procedures and Health, Safety and Environmental Systems and Programs.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Foreman or Director.
