QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Polytubes is an industry leader in polyethylene pipe manufacturing. We are seeking a professional, self-motivated individual to work in our Quality Control Lab located in Edmonton, Alberta. If you are organized, a team player we want to hear from you.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be a key asset
  • Must be able to do shift work (24/7 plant) (12 hour shifts)
  • Self –motivated with the ability to work on a team
  • Computer and office skills an asset

Responsibilities

ROLE:

Maintain Polytubes’ Quality Control Systems by assisting the QC Team in the completion of all documentation and testing with detail and accuracy. Attention to ISO requirements in reporting is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect samples for print, appearance, OD, ID, wall thickness and ovality with respect to production sheets.
  • Record and file results OD sampling done against production sheets.
  • Test incoming resin for verification against CTR.
  • Record test results and make available to relevant personnel.
  • File wall thickness monitor charts.
  • Ensure calibration correctness of equipment.
  • Ensure safe storage of equipment.
  • Keep surroundings clean.
  • Prepare samples for disposition to customers or as needed.
  • Update knowledge related to applicable product standards and methods.
  • Assist Production personnel with training, care and use of measuring instruments.
  • Examine product and assign inspection status.
  • Any other duties requested by direct supervisor or management.
