JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our small, third-generation, family-owned business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of quality management systems and the ability to utilize precision measuring instruments effectively. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years work experience, or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably within a regulated industry.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Knowledge of QA/QC methodologies and practices is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Checks color, finish, dimensions, hardness, density, or other measurable or observable characteristics of material.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments and vision inspection systems to assess product quality.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with quality management protocols.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with vendors regarding defective parts and to write clear, concise corrective action reports.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Responsible for all in-house tool certifications, such as torque wrenches, load cells, inspection tools, etc.,
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and policies.
  • Participate in training sessions related to quality assurance practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Become familiar with and adapt to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement as it is practiced within the organization.
