SLB is seeking a detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and quality‑driven individual to join our Edmonton team as a Quality Control Inspector. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that materials, parts, and products meet SLB standards, blueprint specifications, and applicable quality requirements. You will perform inspections using precision measurement tools, verify conformance, and collaborate closely with production teams to address non‑conformances and support corrective actions. Roles and Responsibilities Inspect materials, parts, and products for visual or surface defects, including cracks, pits, weld issues, structural flaws, and hardness irregularities. Verify product and material dimensions using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and specialized gauges. Make acceptance or rejection decisions and escalate questionable findings to the supervisor as needed. Identify, tag, and segregate non‑conforming parts; complete inspection and non‑conformance reports; and support corrective actions with production teams. Visually inspect and verify equipment to ensure accuracy and readiness for use. Review and validate third‑party inspection reports for compliance and accuracy. Input and retrieve inspection data from SAP and maintain accurate records. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of quality and operational excellence. Ensure safe work practices and strict adherence to SLB procedures. Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Experience working with oilfield products, including assembling or disassembling oilfield equipment, preferred. Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and API Q1 (10th edition) required. Ability to interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges). Knowledge of NDE methods such as LPI, MPI, PMI, and visual weld inspection is considered an asset. Forklift operation certification, overhead crane certification, WHMIS, or Emergency First Aid are considered assets.
