At STELIA North America, we are offering the opportunity for a career that is out of this world! We are looking for someone to join our Quality Control Team in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is an aerospace and defence company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of composite components and assemblies. Headquartered in Lunenburg, NS, and with a site in Mirabel, QC, we operate more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.
The Quality Control Inspector performs inspections of components and assemblies to assess product conformity to internal and customer requirements utilizing approved inspection test plans, ensuring product conformity prior to release to customer.

Reporting to the Quality Control Managerand working in a diverse team, in this role you will:

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to determine product conformity and record inspection results.
  • Authorize the release of conforming parts at final inspection to the customer.
  • Identify and control non-conforming product.
  • Use standard metrology equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, and height gauges etc.).
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, models and specifications.
  • Read, interpret, and adhere to quality procedures and technical documents.
  • Transport product using the appropriate method to the next operation or location.
  • Complete inspection test plans and generate quality records.
  • Review and validate production build records and associated paperwork for completion and accuracy.
  • Ensure proper sign-off(s) and all quality documents are accurate and maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Support investigations to resolve quality issues identified internally or by the customer.
  • Provide monitoring and oversight of delegated inspectors.
  • Use the ERP system to electronically process inspections.
  • Work with a team, share expertise, and follow instructions to accomplish established goals.
