EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years of working as a QC Inspector.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and / or lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. If the use of arm and / or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than sedentary work and worker sits most of the time, the job is light work.

Responsibilities
  • This role has leadership qualities and requires a self-motivated and detail oriented outlook
  • Adheres to all safety procedures and policies.
  • Provides adequate support to the quality manager on various assignments and tasks.
  • Performs quality control inspections in accordance with the company’s quality systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Provides effective and accurate start-up inspection.
  • Provides efficient and accurate inspection for sample runs in process adjustments and tooling modifications.
  • May perform capability studies to identify capable and incapable processes and can articulate findings to appropriate personnel.
  • Interpret drawings and required customer specifications.
  • Regularly reviews inspection instructions to determine accuracy of process
  • Verifies packaging and labeling are accurate on each box of product.
  • Properly documents through NCMR’s, VRR’s and RMA’s and quarantines any nonconforming product discovered; informs Production Supervisor
  • Records complete and accurate inspection records using WIN-CONTROL and approved forms.
  • Identifies Statistical Process Control (SPS) trends and determine reaction plans.
  • Effectively communicates all relevant shift information to the oncoming quality control inspector daily.
  • Properly maintains all inspection equipment and informs Quality Manager if equipment is damaged, worn, or accuracy is affected.
  • Identifies the requirement of calibration of products and informs Quality Manager if any out of calibration issues are found.
  • Communicates potential issues that may prevent normal inspection rounds from being completed.
  • Aids in the training new operators
  • Ensures that all aspects of the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood and enacted.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or functional Managers.
