POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control/Lab Technician to join our team at our Water Plant Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, testing, and ensuring that our water meets or exceeds all quality and safety standards. You will work closely with the production team to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and support continuous improvement in our processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Water Quality, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience in water treatment, beverage production, or a related industry is an asset.
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing methods, water quality parameters, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in recordkeeping, data entry, and using basic computer applications.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine water sampling and laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure water quality parameters are consistently met.
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
  • Record and analyze test data, prepare reports, and communicate findings to supervisors and relevant departments.
  • Investigate and document any quality deviations, assisting in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety standards, and inventory of supplies.
  • Stay informed on industry regulations, health and safety guidelines, and best practices.
