We are looking for an experienced Seasonal Quality Control Manager for a project in between Merritt and Spences Bridge.

Responsibilities:

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and control processes on construction projects. This role involves developing quality plans, inspecting construction materials and workmanship, and ensuring that all work meets established standards, codes, and regulations. The Quality Control Manager ensures that the project meets both client expectations and safety/environmental requirements, while leading a team of inspectors and coordinating with stakeholders to address any quality issues that arise.

  • Oversee the quality control processes on construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, standards, and codes.
  • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Inspect construction materials, workmanship, and site conditions to identify and resolve any non-conformities.
  • Manage and lead the quality control team, providing guidance and support to inspectors.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on quality assurance activities and results.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards throughout the project.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards during all stages of construction.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

You Possess:

  • Strong background in civil construction quality control.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Certification in Quality Control or similar qualifications (e.g., ISO standards).
  • Professional appearance/demeanor whether in person, via email or on the telephone
