Description

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to work alongside the Quality Assurance Manager. The role will be responsible for managing all quality issues and to oversee quality standards to ensure the company delivers the highest quality products and service. Must have strong managerial skills with a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Investigating and management of all customer complaints and writing of reports
  • Attending fortnightly meetings with customers
  • nsure the implementation of the HARA plan and help to develop new HARA plan
  • Attending weekly quality meeting with Group
  • Collaborate with QAM in the preparation of the BRC audit and participate in the BRC audit
  • Representing Quality at any other site meetings
  • Fully responsible for Quarantine area
  • Coordination and keeping track of held stock
  • Issuing of ATS and arranging materials for scrap
  • Quality checks of all raw material intake
  • Maintenance and calibration of all lab equipment and inventory
  • Ordering and management of all lab and QC supplies
  • Testing of lids
  • Overall quality checks of cups and napkins
  • Providing quality training to QC’s
  • Supporting the wider team with trials
  • Implementing corrective actions
  • Co-ordinating quality processes between departments
  • Continually identifying areas for improvement
  • Collaboration and involvement of teams to implement changes that enhance product safety and quality
  • Maintenance to records of quality checks, compliance activities and correct actions.

· Liasing with key customer to resolve any percieved problems with our products.
· RCA and full implemation of corrective actions.
· Establishing, implementing and auditing quality standards
· Monitoring quality testing and identifying gaps in the testing
· Analyzing quality assurance data
· Driving a quality culture across the business
The role will be working closely with the Site Quality Assurance - both roles will work very closely together and will be a key part of the Operations Management Team.

EXPERIENCE:

Essential to have worked at Quality Manager level previously ideally within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge and experience of working to BRC standard is critical to the role.

THE PERSON

We are looking for a confident, assertive leader who can manage at all levels from peers and upwards. This role will involve managing a key customer closely where expectations are high and the person will need to not only be technically strong but also have the ability to communicate well and the ability to problem solve, find salutation and remain calm under pressure.
