Description

Responsible for all Contractor Quality Control and Site Supervision functions on FEDERAL construction projects throughout Southern California.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors certificate and EM-385/with OSHA 30.
  • Proven 5 years’ experience as a QC manager and/or Superintendent and 10 years of construction experience.
  • Must have USACE and NAVFAC experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
  • Skillful communicator in both verbal and in written communication.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check
    Job Type: Full-time
    Compensation: salary - $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year, company vehicle and gas card provided, vacation and sick time, paid employee health insurance, option for dental and vision, 401k plan with matching and profit sharing. Opportunities for job specific bonuses when meeting goals.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (typically 4 ten hour days when traveling)

Work Location:

  • Multiple locations, travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Read and understand specifications, contract drawings.
  • Prepare & update QUALITY CONTROL PLAN for each project assigned
  • Check to assure all materials and or equipment have been submitted and approved.
  • Communicate with Contracting office/client with a positive and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Have a partnering attitude in resolving all situations, respond promptly to customer needs, and always place the clients interest at the forefront of all conflicts.
  • Provide site compliance through daily site inspections and daily safety reports
  • Development and/or review of Accident prevention plan, AHAs and crane and rigging plans
  • Provide management and oversight of site specific safety activities. Examples – Crane Lift Plan, abatement, lockout/tag out activities, etc.
  • Maintain current SDS (MSDS) list of hazardous chemicals on site
  • Prepare monthly contractor safety self-evaluation checklist
  • Maintain daily sign in sheet for employees, subs, and visitors
  • Prepare daily reports, meeting agendas, meeting minutes.
  • Document progress with jobsite photos daily.
