Description:
The Quality Control Representative will be responsible for executing Train Energy Quality Management System at shop and field projects in the Grande Prairie area. The QC Representative will ensure that the work performed complies with construction codes, regulatory requirements, and Owner specifications.
JOB REQUIREMENTS.
-Minimum 5 years of oil and gas construction related quality control work experience
- Minimum CWB Level 1 Welding Inspector with B31.3 endorsement.
-Familiar with ASME B31.3 Code and CSA W59/47 Codes
-Ability to review Quality Management System Manual and implement procedures effectively.
-Able to interpret PID’s, piping isometrics and structural fabrication drawings.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, codes, and specifications.
-Self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Effectively communicate with Train Management and Clients.

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
-Maintain regulatory documentation for Grande Prairie shop.
-Initiate Inspection & Testing Plans.
-Review and approve welding procedures for projects.
-Maintain project QC turnover binder.
-Ensure all ITP stages are complied with.
-Receive and inspect materials and evaluate MTR’s.
-Maintain welder qualification records.
-Monitor welding and ensure proper procedures are being used.
-Visually and dimensionally inspect pipe spools and structural components.
-Coordinate NDE, Heat Treatment and Coating activities with third party contractors.
-Ensuring all required NDE is completed prior to hydro testing.
-Experience with weld mapping, material tracking and drawing as-builts.
-Creating hydro test packages, witnessing hydro tests.
-Conducting PID walk downs, red-lining PID’s and making punch lists prior to commissioning.
-Consult with Owner Inspectors for project inspections.
-Other tasked assigned by the Quality Manager or Regional Manager.
