Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. Basic Function The primary function of the Quality Control Specialist is to ensure that Seal Company Enterprises produce and purchase the highest quality work in every aspect of the company. Products that are sent to clients must not only be of high quality but accurately counted and packaged. This position is the last line of defense between a quality Seal Company Enterprises product and the customer. The Quality Control Specialist is expected to be a team player with the production staff and the warehouse staff and to assist them in following procedures and improving the quality of products produced by the production department. The Quality Control Specialist monitors all activity in the Production/Shipping process to ensure that quality products are consistently produced, and shipments are sent accurately and on time. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The principal duties and responsibilities of the Quality Control Specialist consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Inspect raw and finished products for defects and conformance to specification with the appropriate measuring tools and methods, (i.e. caliper, micrometers, Keyence.) Ensuring that non-conforming parts are properly dispositioned, either repaired, reworked, scrapped, or returned to the supplier. (i.e. DMR/RMA’s) Check shipments before they go out to ensure shipping department is accurately preparing shipments. Ensures that every product leaving Seal Company Enterprises is of the highest quality and free from error. Ensure expedited orders get shipped as requested by the customer as soon as possible. Ensure all customer complaints and returns are resolved within 48 hours. Log and identify all customer complaints, lead the process of eliminating or minimizing recurring problems. Function as the go between for Sales and Production on expedited orders. Report to Management daily on shipping errors, production errors and customer complaints and any other breakdowns in communications or procedures. Continually develop process improvements to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs. Performs basic FAI’s. Quality reports are delivered to management staff every week. Performs special assignments to the overall satisfaction of the Quality Manager. Any other duties the Manager may assign. Starting Pay: $19-$23 (Depending on experience) Requirements REQUIREMENTS Requires: High School Degree, 1-2 years’ relative experience in Quality or Manufacturing. ISO 9001 and AS9100 Prefers: Experience in gasket and seal industry a plus.
