Quality Control (QC) Specialist (Part-Time)
Reports To: QA / or Quality Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ – Onsite
Schedule: Part-Time (25-30 hours/week)
Position Summary
The QC Specialist is responsible for daily quality control activities including inspection of raw materials, in-process testing, and finished product verification. This role ensures AnuMed’s products meet established specifications, and supports production with compliant testing, logging, and sample management.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, packaging, and components.
• Perform in-process quality checks: weights, pH, viscosity, homogenization, fill weights, capsule uniformity.
• Collect and manage retain samples according to SOPs.
• Prepare and maintain QC logs: water system, equipment calibration, microbiology tracking, cleaning verification.
• Support third-party testing: prepare COCs, coordinate assay, micro, and stability pulls.
• Document in-process results and escalate deviations/OOS findings to QA.
• Conduct line clearance checks and document equipment cleaning verification.
• Participate in equipment calibration and verification activities (balances, pH meters, Myron L meter).
• Provide real-time support to Production while ensuring compliance with cGMP and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of QC experience in supplements, food, or pharmaceutical environment.
• Understanding of cGMP, GLP, and testing procedures.
• Hands-on experience with balances, pH meters, viscosity checks, and sampling.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
