Quality Control Specialist - Team Lead Job description: Quality Control Specialist Department: Quality Control/Warehouse/Inventory Reports To: Quality Control Manager Status: Non-Exempt Shift: 9am - 5:30pm Description: The QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring that our products meet established quality standards before they are released to customers. Primary duties include inspecting, testing, and analyzing products or processes to identify defects or areas for improvement. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Locates parts/merchandise and pulls from inventory demonstrating an understanding of the Hollander parts numbering system and warehouse locations according to customer work order or sales invoice. * Audits automotive parts/merchandise to order specifications. * Verifies part condition and damage against order using ARA damage locators as it relates to inspecting merchandise and maintaining quality control. * Manages inventory efficiently and effectively by placing merchandise in an organized and understandable manner, verifying quality when parts are put into inventory and ensuring tags are visible. * Prepares parts/merchandise for storage and/or shipment using proper bagging, tagging, wrapping and packaging to prevent damage. * Effectively communicates and resolves any discrepancies from the customer’s order specifications. * Conducts internal audits to assess adherence to quality management systems and standards, as well as participating in external audits conducted by regulatory agencies or customers. * Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, distribution, and management, to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement efforts * Investigates the root causes of quality issues and collaborates with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions. * Follows all safety policies and procedures. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry. Certificates and Licenses: Forklift certification. Training and certification available.
