Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift food safety and quality control efforts at our egg processing plant. In this role, you’ll ensure that our products meet the highest standards of food safety and quality, while supporting a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with the Plant Manager, Shift Supervisor, USDA Inspectors, and your Quality team to drive consistency, compliance, and excellence in every process. Responsibilities Oversee and enforce Food Safety, Food Quality, Food Security, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) programs. Train, mentor, and develop team members on job requirements, safety protocols, and continuous improvement practices. Lead and manage the Processing Quality team, including interviewing, hiring, training, and supporting quality employees. Evaluate and document egg quality through sampling; communicate any issues to management and collaborate on solutions. Partner with USDA Inspectors to ensure all processes and finished products are fully compliant. Monitor packaging stages to confirm eggs are properly packaged, labeled, and loaded, with accurate counts for each customer order. Document non-conformances and corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution. Inspect incoming goods and verify compliance through receiving inspections. Calibrate and inspect monitoring equipment to maintain accuracy. Maintain accurate, organized, and complete quality records. Perform food safety and quality testing in the plant lab; track supplies and notify Supervisors of needs. Lead customer complaint resolution and deviation investigations. Support other quality-related initiatives and special projects as assigned. Requirements Proven ability to work independently while effectively leading and motivating a team. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, implement improvements, and monitor results. Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to excellence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in food manufacturing or quality control preferred. HACCP and SQF training or certification a plus.
