The Central Precast, a leading manufacturer of precast concrete products and a dealer of landscaping and masonry products in Eastern Ontario, servicing commercial, industrial and residential clients is currently looking for a full-time permanent Quality Control Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required:
· Minimum post-secondary education as a civil engineering technologist or equivalent experience
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
· A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within an industrial plant production environment or equivalent role. Experience within the construction or related industry is an asset. At least 5 years of successful technical leadership experience.
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
· Must have excellent communication skills, written, verbal and computer (MS Office), as well as experience with engineering blueprint reading and dimensioning.
· Collaborative style with proven negotiation and influencing skills.
· Willingness to work in an industrial plant environment and out in the elements.
· Able to climb ladders and move around operating machinery in a safe manner.
· Concrete testing certification from CCIL or ACI preferred but not required.
· Must have experience with proper use of inspection, measuring and test equipment, including and understanding of proper procedure and calibration.
· Proven understanding of quality assurance, ideally with concrete products or related industry standards
· Supervision, direction, coaching and development of the Quality Control/Assurance team.
· Ensure compliance with current company quality standards and regulations.
o Ensure supplier documentation has been receive and are in good order.
o Ensure all product tests are up to date, by scheduling and performing tests.
· Monitor and evaluate all activities, processes, and procedures.
o Identify and analyze quality issues and identify/implement solutions.
· Develop internal auditing tools and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
o Check quality documents and test results to optimize audit preparation.
· Development of company policies, processes, and procedures regarding quality.
o Identify/analyze arising issues to find solutions and develop methods to be used in the future to prevent them from arising again.
· Collaborate with department managers and staff to identify and reach quality benchmarks.
o Work with Project Coordinators to meet quality requirement of our customers.
· Provide support for new projects and coordinate/collaborate with the production teams and personnel to troubleshoot compliance issues.
o Conduct quality meetings with lead hands and contribute to production meetings.
o Relay testing results to production and engineering when issues arise.
· Prepare and maintaining quality management documentation.
o Prepare and update QMSM (Quality Management System Manual) for any addendums that come out regarding the regulations and for process changes within the company.
· Analyze data, create reports, and communicate feedback.
o Create: audit reports; production reports to support inventory control process
o Communicate relevant information to appropriate departments.
· Participate and guide project quality control from start to finish.
o Ensure the quality team is up to date on what is being made and what is in the works as well as making sure all quality information is being tracked properly.
· Track and oversee quality from raw material receipt to final product.
o File and maintain supplier reports and calibration information, as well as concrete information and completion progress.
· Oversee semi-annual audits and track customer feedback to improve process integrity.
o Organize relevant project information for specific customer jobs and analyze feedback for future improvements.
· Key contributor to continuous improvement teams and directs quality programs to reduce non-conformance.
· Special projects and other duties as required.
