Solstice Advanced Materials Colonial Heights facility manufactures high performance polyethylene fiber that’s used in a variety of applications including ballistic protection and medical devices. We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to work at our Colonial Heights, VA facility. This position would holistically own all aspects of quality at our 24/7 manufacturing plant. Key Responsibilities: Achieve plant targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost and Employee Morale by supporting daily execution in assigned Quality Control Labs Resolves both equipment and personnel issues Responsible for the safe working conditions and behaviors of the Quality Area Demonstrates servant leadership while managing the team from a company’s perspective that mirrors ownership in line with Solstice’s Core Behaviors and Values. Responsible for managing a unionized workforce by effective training, accountability, performance expectations, reviews and succession planning. Execute Management of Change (MOC) process including plant trials and new product development. Execute Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control) process in support of plant operations and new product development. Maintain site ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 certifications by supporting both internal and external audits Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts to address quality opportunities Drive business impact by improving year over year (YOY) performance for key area metrics Champion quality control plans by fully utilizing software programs such as Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS.) Accurately report quality data into the Attainment system Represent the Voice of the Customer (VOC) in supporting daily quality execution, new product development and responses to customer concerns Develop new SOP’s, controlled documents, and training material Partner with Production leadership, Engineering, and unionized technicians to troubleshoot nonconformance and present strategic corrective actions.
