Description Position Overview The role of Quality Control Technician is to examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications. The Quality Control Technicians are responsible for outgoing and final quality inspections. Essential Job Functions Performs final quality control check through visual, functional and/or dimensional inspections, as assigned, to confirm that product meets quality and design specifications and ultimately customers’ expectations. Accept or reject finished items. Communicate inspection results to managers, supervisors and production sources. Analyze and assist in correction of quality problems. Provide description or justification for defective material. Make independent judgement calls in subjective situations with an understanding of Tectonics’ quality expectations. Responsible for completing special projects/tasks as requested by Quality Management or direct supervisor. Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multi-task various projects with high level of detail. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Demonstrates flexibility within a fast-paced, challenging environment. Must possess a positive professional attitude. Detail oriented Education and Experience High School diploma/GED required. Quality inspection/control experience, preferred Physical Demands Requires standing, walking and bending for entire shift. Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Work Conditions Must be able to work extended hours with little advance notice to meet project deadlines Manufacturing environment: may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, dust or dirt.
